Your training runs well. Now it runs on pace.
Training runs on time when every week stays on pace. The challenge is that weeks rarely go to plan. Weather shifts. Instructors get pulled. An aircraft goes offline. By Friday you are assigning two lessons to everyone and hoping the backlog evens out.
Student Progression changes that. It shows who is ahead, who is behind, and what to do next so you can keep every student moving toward the date you promised.
Most systems tell you how far a student has come. What you really need is to know whether they are on pace to finish on time.
FlightLogger now calculates a Required Pace for each student based on programme goals and compares it with Booked Pace from your actual schedule. When Booked is lower than Required, you see it instantly and can prioritise the right students immediately.
Kate is enrolled in a PPL Part 61 programme with a desired completion in May 2026. Her recent activity shows an average of 1.5 lessons per week, while she only needs 0.6 to stay on time. The system projects an earlier finish and marks her as ahead. Julie has averaged 0.3 when she needs 0.9. She appears at the top of the list, you add bookings for the coming weeks, and her pace moves back toward target.
Inside FlightLogger, you set a Desired Completion date for each programme. The system calculates Required Pace per week and tracks Booked Pace from your schedule. A simple card on each student and a cohort view show who is behind, on track, or ahead.
You can adjust the averaging window that fits your planning horizon (for example, one to four weeks) to reflect holidays or downtime. The first release focuses on flight programmes, with ground training support to follow.
The most effective insights are the ones you can act on immediately. Student Progression lives where you plan and book, so the path from signal to action is a single click. No exports. No external dashboards. Just smarter scheduling.
Try it with your academy!
Student Progression begins with a trial for existing customers, so you can see value on day one. During the trial, suggested start and completion dates are pre‑filled using your historical data, which you can confirm or adjust. After the trial, Student Progression will be available as an add‑on module.
FAQ
Does pace account for cancellations and reschedules?
Yes. Required Pace stays tied to the student’s goal. Booked Pace updates as you plan or change bookings, making it easy to see who needs attention.
Can we customize the averaging period?
Yes. You can set, at account level, whether FlightLogger should calculate Booked Pace over one, two, three, or four weeks.
Will this change our existing programmes or grading?
No. Student Progression layers on top of your current programmes to add proactive guidance without altering your training content.
