FlightLogger expands its presence in Southern Africa with Eagle1 Flight Academy

FlightLogger is pleased to announce its partnership with Eagle1 Flight Academy (Pty) Ltd., a respected training institution based at Rand Airport in Johannesburg, South Africa. With this partnership, Eagle1 joins the growing number of aviation academies worldwide embracing FlightLogger’s cloud-based platform to streamline training operations, improve compliance, and enhance the overall student and instructor experience.

Founded in 2014, Eagle1 Flight Academy has grown from humble beginnings into a thriving, SACAA-approved ATO with a commitment to high safety standards, structured instruction, and a strong community culture. Known for its experienced team of instructors - who collectively bring over 60 years and 50,000 flight hours of experience - Eagle1 has successfully trained more than 300 students and continues to expand both fleet and facilities.

From Private Pilot License (PPL) through Commercial Pilot License (CPL), Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL), and advanced ratings such as Multi-Engine, Instrument Rating, and Instructor Rating, Eagle1 delivers a full suite of modular flight training programs. Its operations benefit from the ideal year-round flying weather at Rand Airport, a busy aviation hub with four runways, maintenance facilities, refueling, and on-site accommodation.

By adopting FlightLogger, Eagle1 Flight Academy is replacing manual processes with a centralized, digital training platform that will allow them to:

  • Digitize and manage student progress, flight schedules, and training records

  • Enhance compliance with SACAA regulations and audit-readiness

  • Minimize administrative workload for instructors and staff

  • Provide international students with a more seamless onboarding and tracking experience

  • Scale operations confidently with structured, integrated workflows

“At Eagle1, our mission has always been to deliver flight training to the highest standard, without compromise,” said Morne Badenhorst, Head of Training at Eagle1 Flight Academy. “Partnering with FlightLogger allows us to uphold that commitment while equipping our team with modern tools to operate more efficiently and transparently.”

This collaboration also marks an important step in FlightLogger’s continued expansion into Southern Africa and reinforces its role as the preferred digital platform for flight training organizations worldwide.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Eagle1 Flight Academy to the FlightLogger family,” said Kasper Valgren, VP of Revenue. “Their dedication to safety, professionalism, and student success makes them an ideal partner. Together, we’re bringing a new level of operational clarity to aviation training in South Africa.”
